Meet Sarah Ensor. Sarah had planned a 1 way Windermere last year but due to unexpected injury the decision was made to change her challenge to a 1 way Coniston. The lake was stunning with a water temperature of 16.8 degrees and it was on one of the hottest days of the year. Conditions were fabulous.

Sarah fed every 30 minutes on a combination of cnp, chocolate buttons, jelly babies , gel and water and was heading towards the end of her challenge when she was hit with a severe episode of cramp in her calf. She had also been experiencing a nerve impingement in her shoulder. Sarah made the decision to end her swim 2.5km from the end.
A great achievement and her longest swim to date.
