David Owen - 1 Way Windermere

David joined us at the last minute for a training swim in preparation for his 2 Way Windermere later in the season. The conditions were amazing and we knew this was going to be a head down and no messing kinda swim.

David is a super strong swimmer and his stroke count was 52 throughout the entire length of Windermere. The conditions were toasty warm with a tropical 23 degrees being recorded by Boats underwater thermometer. David had a flawless technique making it look incredibly easy , so we were extremely surprised to hear that he had a spell after the initial 2 hours were he was not enjoying it. He knocked out his 1 Way in a fantastic 4 hours 55 minutes , spot on for his target of a sub 5 hour swim. David was met by his lovely wife at Ambleside who had tracked and sent messages throughout. Great work.
