Sisters Bliss - 2 Way Windermere

Tuesday morning at 0700 Sister's Bliss Karen Reid and Tracie Gorst started their biggest swim challenge to date, a 2 Way Windermere. Both ladies come from a swimming background , having left it many many years ago and chose to take on this challenge together to raise money for The Alzheimers Society.

To ensure both ladies dis their fair share of the mileage the plan was to divide up the one way into 4 so each did the same. This worked out like a dream and ensured no sibling rivalry could spoil the fun.

The forecast was to be a wet one in the afternoon, but we were super lucky and it stayed a beautiful day. The first leg was a smooth one and the girls hit the Jetty in a superb time of 5 hours 47 mins , but the way back was a different story. The wind picked up but was pushing from behind so whilst the ladies got a bit of a push they also got smacked about a little bit , with one of the 2 loving the chop whilst the other one was counting down the minutes.

In a supersonic time of 11 hours and 28 minutes, Sister's Bliss had completed their challenge. A superb swim by this perfect pair.
