Meet Graham Hadfield, a veteran in the world of pool swimming but a newbie to marathon open water swimming. His biggest swim a few hours pre this day. He did attempt a Solo Windermere over 35 years ago and got out after an hour ... so today he had a reason to be nervous. We started the swim at Ambleside due to the wind direction as Graham had initially had his sights on a sub 5 hour swim. However a recent injury meant Graham was focusing more on actually finishing it. 

It soon became clear that he was definately game on for a sub 5 and we started to let him know it was doable by the skin of his teeth. We shouted and shouted and he put 110% effort in.... Completing in 4 hours and 57 minutes. One super happy swimmer...
