Ullswater for Claire - Windermere next ...

Monday 18th August , the sun was shining and Ullswater was beautiful. The water temperature was a stunning 19 degrees

The swim commenced at Glenridding with husband Ian waving her off.

This swim was super peaceful and calm, there was a little breeze at times but Claire just kept commenting on how beautiful the water was.

Clair fed hourly and took in the beautiful scenary.

Just shy of 5 hours and Claire hit the jetty at Pooley Bridge. 4 hours and 59 seconds to be precise.

Fantastic swimming.

Tuesday saw Tina Hawthorn who took on her longest swim to date. Having completed Coniston last year she stepped it up and Ullswater was her goal.

The weather remained glorious , with the sun shining and a gentle breeze behind it was perfect conditions.

Tina had followed a training plan for this swim and each hour she was giving it her all. Karen jumped in on 2 occasions , to cool off and stayed in, which really gave a Tina a boost.

With about 800m to go, husband and biggest fan Vinny came out on his kayak and guided her in.

A fabulous time of 4 hours and 19 minutes. Tina hit the jetty.
