Windermere Wild Swim and Dip

There is nothing like fresh air, walking and talking with likeminded souls. Late January we hosted a weekend of wild swimming and walking in Windermere. As we walked strangers became friends and people shared not only their swimming adventures, but some their struggles with the recent Pandemic and what that meant for them. We walked by Windermere taking in the beautifully surroundings despite being fully aware of the devastation storm Arwen had caused in previous weeks.

After a short walk from Wray Castle and brief about the day we walked to the main reason everyone was there, a refreshing dip in Windermere. It was a stunning 6 degrees and everyone giggled with anticipation as they entered. We just love seeing the mix of people on these adventures. Some focusing on their breathing pre submersion, some simply running in squeeling with sheer delight.

Both days saw a fabulous energy within the groups, who were showered with local history of Windermere and its surroundings.

If your wanting to join one of our adventures you will be very welcome. At the start many were strangers, but they left friends.
