Bournemouth Sea Swim Camp

Sunday 28th May it all began. The first ever sea swimming camp giving swimmers from Up North the opportunity to get that much needed Vitamin Sea in preparation for their challenges this year.   Not everyone has a marathon challenge in the diary, but all that attended has their challenges. From 200m to 6 hours , its all relevant.

Monday was the real start, with swimmers going in the bouncing sea for anything from 20 minutes to 1 hour x 2 following a snack and rest. We were blessed with the sunshine, but not with the wind, with some easterly blow ups causing 0.5metre waves making beach entry and exit a challenge in itself.

We had a fabulous team supporting the swimmers on land and in the water. From keeping that kettle boiling to feeding swimmers in the rolling sea they were phenomenal.

Massive well done to all swimmers that exceeded their expectations! You are Awesome!
