TRI-TIME AT BOUNDARY WATER PARK!
A sold out field tackle this early Season Cheshire tester.

We prayed for good weather and that is exactly what we got for our first event of the Year on Sunday 15th April.

Wet, wet wet..
The swim is always the domain most people have anxieties about and this year the Lake just reached the 11c mark so the course was reduced from the usual 1km distance to 800metres. More than enough for most! Pink swim hats were worn to commemorate a much loved Boundary Park regular and member of NiteRiders - Francis Hamlett - who sadly died suddenly in 2017. There was great support on the day from his Club members and friends with one of them taking 3rd place (see Race Results). The Swim tested all with the cooler temperature but all successfully completed the 2 loops and layered up ready for the fast and flat(tish) 55km cycle route.

Cycling into head on winds posed a challenge at times but with the very enthusiastic team of Marshalls from the Scouts shaking their bells and clackers noone taking part could get away with losing their mojo.

A 10km run finished this event off nicely but happily none of the participant. We also saw several competitors opting to complete a SwiCycle (Swim/Bike) on request which is certainly going to be an option again next year.
