Meet Dan and Lee, a duo of friends who are mad for challenges and simply love training. They both have an English Channel Solo in the diary for 2021 and have a individualised package with Uswim to help them progress their training at the right times. Both strong and consistent and used to training side by side it was always going to be a win win with each other in sight.

Setting off from Friday 7th August from Fell Foot the Duo were suncreamed and ready to go.

It was an overcast day on the Lake but the water temperature perfect at 17.6 degrees. It took the lads the first 1 hour to settle into swimming with the boat which is often the case when it is the first time, but after feed 1 they were on fire and in sync with one another stroke, albeit Dan holding a 44 stroke count to Lees 56.

The lads stayed consistent down the Lake without any drama, even a Hercules passing above them causing an almighty rumble didnt break their stroke

Spirits remained high and as we approached the finish family members were waiting to cheer them in. In a strong time of 5 hours and 45 minutes Dan and Lee stumbled out at Ambleside chuffed to bits.
