The last Windermere trip of the season saw David Hiscutt taking on his 6 hour qualifer for an English Channel Solo next July. Be fair to say that ideally David wanted to complete the length , but the first focus was to get to 6 hours. Water temperature 15.4 degrees and a clear bright day , it was the perfect conditions.

Within the first couple of hours, David's hands were cold , and by hour 3 they had clawed, which makes an impact on technique. He carried on and made the Ferry Crossing in 4 hours 15 minutes.

The Lake was smooth and the rain stayed away. David had began to feel cold and a discussion was had about getting to the 6 hour marker. Then assess.

6 Hours in and David had completed his longest swim and got his Qualifier in the Bag. A huge boost and a great place to end the season as he takes his training back indoors for the Channel Prep.
