2 Way Coniston on a Choppy Sunday

Thursday 20th August was a choppy bouncy day on Coniston with a strong wind creating cresting waves. Dominic was raring to go with a Channel Solo now in his sights for 2022, this workout would be great training. At least he was going to benefit from the push of the waves on his return leg.

Dom made an impression on social media with his powerful stroke in the challenging conditions. His stroke count was 48-50 throughout and his feed of choice CNP and Coke. Swimming for 2 hours before feeding hourly. He completed his 1 Way in 3 hours 6 minutes.

The wind did not settle, but at least on the return leg it was giving Dom a gentle push. His family were stuck in traffic and with his speed slightly concerned they would miss the grand finale.

They made it! Dom completed his 2 Way Coniston in a fabulous time of 5 hours and 45 minutes and we are super excited to follow his journey.
