Double Ullswater for Ashley - what a season!

After a brilliant season building up her endurance , it was Ashley's day to crack out her swim target of the year. 2 way Ullswater.  The start was Glenridding , Ashley entered saying "its definitely colder than Dock 9" and off she went. The water temperature was a steady 18 degrees and whilst it forecast showers , they stayed away. Ashley made her way to Pooley Bridge smooth and consistently, feeding hourly. Touching the jetty, quick hello to mum and then back she went. The wind picked up in places but with an English Channel Solo booked in July it didn't phase Ashley.  In a fantastic time of 7 hours 30 Ashley knocked out the 2nd leg in a quicker time and walked out of Ullswater absolutely beaming. With both mum and dad there to share the joy. Well done Ashley. Another swimmer who remained focused and trusted the plan.
