Double trouble completed in 10 hours 57 minutes.

Graham's Double Windermere

Fun Friday had arrived, which meant it was Grahams day to put all the training into practice on his longest swim to date.  A double Windermere.

Graham is a reasonably new swimmer to open water, having spent years chasing the pace indoors. His 1st open water event being an around Jersey relay swim in a team of 3.  However with a sub 5 hour Windermere and a triple Coniston under his belt, he had definitely put the hard miles in.

We changed direction of the swim start following a look at the weather forecast.  Ensuring that whilst Graham was fresh he could beat the waves. There were a mix of conditions, super smooth to  a little lumpy bumpy with the odd comment at feeds from Graham, letting us know he was not enjoying any part of it and was simply just getting the next hour done.

The touch at Ambleside jetty was in style with a tumble turn, a brief stop to know his split time and then off he went again. Still obviously finding it relentless but 100% determined.

In the fabulous time of 10 hours 57 minutes, Graham touched at Fell Foot with a huge sigh of relief that it was all over. WELL DONE
