Lucy Bs return to Windermere

A double Windermere was the plan in preparation for a Lake Zurich swim later in the year. Lucy had not been able to complete the preparation as she would have liked. But as soon as she could, she started to crank up the mileage.

Due to it being a double , we started at Ambleside having no choice about the wind direction , whilst only mild it was still a bit disruptive to Lucys stroke at times, however she powered on.  When we approached the end of the solo , she was met by a fabulous group of family and friends loud and very proud. The jetty was touched and the return began.

It became clear that Lucy was in discomfort and when requested pain killers were given. However , due to Lucy having another swim in the diary a shoulder niggle was a worry and the sensible decision was made to call it a day. A fantastic training swim and we cannot wait to watch the Zurich tracker.
