Here he is again our very own Danny Ralph. Having done Windermere before this was all about having an enjoyable day out. His previous experience of a Windermere Solo was scarred with memories of abdominal cramps following poor feeding choices, however lessons learned, training done and it was time to get it done. Just more comfortably.

The weather was drizzly, water temperature 17 degrees and a slight breeze down the Lake. Wife Debbie was aiming to get a decent stint in the shops, but Danny likes a saving and set off down the Lake with great pace.

Danny had a sub six hour in his head and was on track by getting to the Ferry Crossing sub 3 hours. The weather still in his favour, his feeds fast with a no messing approach. With a Loch Lomond Solo deferred to 2021, this Windermere was an important swim for him to enjoy and get in the bank.

He continued to motor down the Lake, whilst wife Debbie barely had chance to spend. 5 hours and 54 Minutes and Danny was laughing his way out, ready for a 2 Way. A great day and a superb happy Windermere Solo done. Well done Danny.
